Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received UAE Ambassador Fahad Mohammed Kardous Al Ameri.
Gen Shaikh Rashid praised the longstanding relations between the two countries and peoples, which continues to develop under the support of His Majesty King Hamad and UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He emphasised the importance of continuing to enhance co-operation, particularly in the security domains.
The minister affirmed Bahrain’s condemnation and strong denunciation of the terrorist and sabotage plot aimed at undermining the security and stability of the UAE.
He lauded the efficiency and vigilance of the UAE security authorities in dismantling the terrorist organisation, arresting its members and foiling its criminal plans.
The meeting reviewed areas of security co-operation and topics contributing to the development of joint work between the two countries.
Developments in the current regional situation were also discussed.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Police Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan.
