Supreme Council for Health chairman Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received Professor Cathal Kelly, the Vice Chancellor and CEO/Registrar of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin (RCSI), and Professor Sameer Otoom, president of the RCSI – Medical University of Bahrain.
The meeting was attended by Health Minister Dr Jalila Al Sayyed.
They discussed means to enhance co-operation and develop medical and nursing programmes to enhance innovation, sector efficiency, and a sustainable, knowledge-based health system.
Professor Kelly affirmed the college’s commitment to continue supporting the Health Ministry to develop medical skills and improve healthcare quality.
