Candidates contesting the Bahrain Chamber elections were spotted browsing the day’s headlines as they passed by the GDN booth at Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir, where copies of the paper quickly drew attention between campaign conversations.
Among them was Estidama (Sustainability) bloc candidate Mohammad Fakhro, who paused to read through the latest edition and chat with visitors about business and economic affairs.
Mr Fakhro said the GDN remains an important platform for Bahrain’s business community, particularly during key events such as the chamber elections.
“The GDN has always been a reliable source of information for the private sector. It provides consistent coverage of economic developments, legislative changes and business opportunities that matter to us as entrepreneurs and candidates,” he said.
He added that having the newspaper present at the elections venue created a valuable space for engagement.
“It’s good to see the GDN here among the candidates and voters. It reflects how closely the paper follows the concerns of the business community and gives us a chance to stay informed even on a busy election day.”
