His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Shaikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait.
The meeting took place as part of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s official visit to Kuwait.
His Royal Highness noted that the historic and close relations between the two countries reflects the continued support of His Majesty King Hamad and Kuwait’s Amir Shaikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Sabah, which continues to drive the advancement of bilateral ties.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the Bahrain–Kuwait strategic partnership, referencing the shared commitment to expanding cooperation across various sectors, particularly within the economic and investment fields, in order to create opportunities that achieve common aspirations.
During the meeting, both countries also reaffirmed efforts to advancing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), in line with the visions and aspirations of the leaders of the GCC countries. In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reiterated Bahrain’s commitment, within the framework of the 46th GCC Summit, chaired by Bahrain, to strengthening integration and cooperation among countries and to promote shared objectives and common interests of the GCC countries.
Frameworks to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and issues of common interest were also discussed.
For his part, the Prime Minister of Kuwait expressed his appreciation for His Royal Highness’ commitment to supporting bilateral relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, in pursuit of mutual aspirations, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued growth, progress and prosperity.
