His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday inaugurated the Rashid bin Khalifa Art Collection exhibition, which highlights Arabic and Islamic art.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister toured the exhibition, viewing its selection of artworks that reflect the diversity of creative experiences in the Bahraini art scene.
He commended the distinguished artistic contributions of Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa throughout his creative career, which have enriched the artistic and cultural scene of Bahrain and contributed to the strengthening of the visual arts.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed that the kingdom’s achievements, led by His Majesty King Hamad, inspire creative artists and enrich Bahrain’s artistic and cultural landscape.
He outlined the kingdom’s commitment to encouraging an environment that promotes creativity, while reinforcing national identity and embracing cultural openness.
He highlighted the kingdom’s advancement across various sectors, particularly in culture and the arts, reflecting the positive progress made in the Bahraini creative sector.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised that these artworks embody national identity, Bahrain’s rich history and its future aspirations, adding that they are an important tool in raising societal awareness and cultural diversity.
He commented that Bahraini artists, as part of Team Bahrain, carry the values of tolerance, coexistence and pride in national identity through their creative artworks.
HRH Prince Salman also underscored that the work of Bahraini artists contributes to presenting a progressive image of the kingdom both regionally and internationally.
He outlined that the artworks showcased at the exhibition reflect a profound artistic vision that blends authenticity and modernity, highlighting the artists’ creativity and their ability to express human values through a sophisticated artistic style.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted that Shaikh Rashid’s artistic career inspires young Bahraini artists.
For his part, Shaikh Rashid expressed his gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s inauguration of the exhibition and his support for the kingdom’s art movement, reflecting the importance of the arts in enhancing national identity and the cultural scene.
