His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, the Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted Bahrain’s efforts in adopting innovative renewable energy solutions and initiatives to achieve the Kingdom’s sustainable development goals, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the depth of the historic relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), thanks to the support of His Majesty the King and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad also noted the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of strengthening clean energy partnerships in the Kingdom to advance Bahrain’s sustainable development efforts.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister outlined Bahrain’s commitment to renewable energy projects as part of the Kingdom’s wider energy diversification strategy. His Royal Highness went on to stress that these efforts are critical to strengthening the Kingdom’s position as an active partner in international efforts to address climate challenges.
During the meeting, areas of cooperation and ways of further enhancing them were reviewed.
For his part, the CEO of Masdar expressed his appreciation for His Royal Highness’ support of renewable energy projects, to achieve environmental security and address the challenges of climate change.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
