His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam and Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh at Gudaibiya Palace.
Mr Al Musallam and Mr Al Saleh were accompanied by their deputies and members of the public utilities and environment committees of both houses.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed that serving Bahrain’s citizens and meeting their needs is critical and is an essential component of the kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted that Team Bahrain’s achievements serve as motivation to continue dedicated efforts and advance the kingdom’s development.
He highlighted the commitment to further developing government services and efficiency to achieve the kingdom’s wide-ranging aspirations.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister stressed the importance of further bolstering co-operation between the legislative and executive branches, emphasising its vital role in supporting development efforts and advancing national programmes and initiatives.
He underscored the need to continue developing the kingdom’s legislative framework to fulfil the aspirations of Bahrain’s citizens.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed the importance of the outcomes of the 46th GCC Summit, chaired by His Majesty, noting that these outcomes play a key role in strengthening GCC co-operation for the benefit of all.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted the announcements, agreements and memoranda of understanding issued during the Bahraini-Saudi Co-ordination Council, all of which further strengthen the Bahraini-Saudi strategic partnership.
He highlighted the kingdom’s success in hosting major exhibitions, conferences and large-scale events, which contribute to reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a destination for regional and international events, expressing his appreciation to all those involved in organising the recent events.
HRH Prince Salman commended the commitment and co-operation demonstrated by companies and institutions in providing employment opportunities, following the directive to offer three job opportunities to more than 9,000 job-seekers registered with the Labour Ministry, noting that more than 3,600 citizens have been employed under this initiative.
For their part, the Speaker and the Chairman expressed their gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s commitment to strengthening co-operation between the legislative and executive branches, to advance shared objectives and serve the best interests of the kingdom and its people.
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
