National Guard Commander General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in Pakistan yesterday, where he met Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
Field Marshal Munir said the visit reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen relations between Bahrain and Pakistan, particularly in defence areas.
Gen Shaikh Mohammed commended the progress of military co-operation and exchange between the two sides.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s contribution, through its army, to supporting regional and international security and stability.
The meeting also discussed matters of common interest and means to further enhance co-operation between Bahrain and Pakistan, particularly in military affairs.
