Bahrain yesterday welcomed its first batch of tourists of the 2025-2026 cruise ship season, marking the continuous growth of the tourism sector, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced.
It comes as part of co-operation between the authority, the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry and APM Terminals Bahrain, who operate Khalifa Bin Salman Port.
“The new cruise ship season contributes to achieving the objectives of the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026, positively impacting tourism activity, the national economy, and the transport and retail sectors in Bahrain,” said a BTEA statement.

Tourists arriving into the kingdom
Tourists were welcomed to the kingdom with cultural performances, and had an opportunity to explore Bahraini markets and top sightseeing spots.
The GDN previously reported that Bahrain welcomed 140,100 tourists from around the world during the 2024-25 cruise ship season.
