Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) technology made its first appearance in Bahrain with the launch of a much-anticipated smart motoring marque.
Kanoo Motors officially unveiled Deepal during an exclusive event held at its new showroom in Seef District.
“The introduction of Deepal marks a significant milestone for Kanoo Motors as we continue to expand our portfolio with innovative and sustainable automotive solutions,” Kanoo Motors general manager Trevor Fletcher announced during the opening ceremony.
REEV technology combines the benefits of electric driving with the flexibility of fuel, offering an impressive range of up to 950 kilometres and delivering a seamless, worry-free driving experience.
Deepal has introduced two of its top crossover SUV models – the S05 and S07 – both featuring luxury finishes and cutting-edge technology.
“REEV technology offers the best of both worlds, combining the efficiency of electric power with the freedom of extended range, and redefining what drivers can expect from modern mobility,” Mr Fletcher added.
The launch event was attended by Industry and Commerce Ministry Under-Secretary Eman Ahmed Al Doseri, and domestic and foreign trade assistant under-secretary Shaikh Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa, alongside Chinese Ambassador Ni Ruchi, Ebrahim K Kanoo director Ebrahim Kanoo, Deepal executive vice president Li Mingcai and Mr Fletcher.
Distinguished guests, partners and media representatives also attended to learn about the features of the new REEV-powered cars, which are now available for test drives.

The new Deepal showroom offers customers a firsthand experience of the marque’s latest REEV models, designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s drivers through intelligent engineering and contemporary design.
