Riyadh: As part of the Saudi Interior Ministry's anti-drug efforts to monitor drug smuggling and trafficking activities that target the Kingdom's security and youth, the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) has seized 2,064,000 amphetamine pills hidden inside a shipment of nuts. The recipients were arrested in Riyadh Region, including two Syrian residents and two Saudi citizens.
Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any drug-selling or smuggling activity by calling 911 in Mecca, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, 999 in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions, the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995, or by e-mail at: 995@gdnc.gov.sa. All information given will be treated with strict confidentiality.
