Tensions spilled over at Qatar’s Jassim bin Hamad Stadium as celebrations turned confrontational during Qatar’s 2-1 win over the UAE on Tuesday night.
UAE fans, upset at the match’s result, turned rowdy, hurling water bottles and other objects towards the victorious Qatari players.
