VOLLEYBALL – The Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA) presented the General Sports Authority’s (GSA) awards to cadet and youth players from the Khalid bin Hamad Golden Generation League for the years 2023 to 2025.
The ceremony was held at the BVA headquarters at Isa Sports City in Riffa, attended by BVA secretary general Feras Al Helwachi and a number of BVA board members.
Al Helwachi praised the Khalid bin Hamad Golden Generation League, which is supervised by the GSA under the direction of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, GSA chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in cooperation with the BVA.
He said that it has had a significant impact in the emergence of many promising players who represented the national teams at the regional and Arab levels.
Al Helwachi praised the efforts of the honoured players and their excellence during the past season, explaining that the rewards are in appreciation and an incentive from the GSA for the players to continue in the path of excellence.
Al Helwachi also renewed his thanks and appreciation to the GSA for this honour, which left a good impression on all the players.
The list of honourees in the cadets category included Hassan Al Abbar and Ahmed Ali Al Khabbaz from Al Ahli; Nasser Allah Taha, Hussein Ali, Mahmoud Jaafar, and Mohammed Hussein from Dar Kulaib; Fadel Abbas and Mustafa Fadel Rashid from Bani Jamza; and Karar Ahmed and Ammar Youssef from Al Nasser.
The honored players in the youth class included Ali Hussein, Ali Abdullah Sultan, and Ali Abbas Thamer from Dar Kulaib; Mohammed Qasim Abdul Rasoul from Al Shabab; Jassim Mohammed Madan from Nabi Saleh; Hassan Sadiq and Hassan Ayoub from Nasser; and Ali Hussein Ali from Ahli.
