A UK teen, who was freed after being jailed in Dubai earlier this year, died last night in a car accident.
19-year-old Markus Fakana was a passenger in a car that crashed in North London, following a chase by the Metropolitan Police.
Fakana made headlines earlier in the year when he was sentenced to a year in jail in Dubai for having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl. According to reports, Fakana, then 18, met the girl while on vacation in Dubai. The two had a consensual relationship; however, after the girl returned to the UK, her mother reported Fakana to the authorities after seeing some messages.
Fakana was sentenced to a year in jail, but received a royal pardon in July.
