NETBALL – Bahrain’s youth netball squads departed yesterday for the UAE to participate in the Inter-Gulf Youth Netball Championship in Abu Dhabi.
Team members of three of the kingdom’s talented young teams made the short trip to the Emirates for their competitions.
The kingdom is to be represented in three age-groups, including under-12, under-14 A, and under-14 B. Claire Van Minnen is the coach for the under-12 team, while Jeannine Wessels is at the helm of the under-14 A squad.
The under-14 Bs are coached by Jo Reed. The youth tournament being held this weekend will be followed next weekend by the seniors’ competition.
