VOLLEYBALL – Bahrain champions Dar Kulaib take on Bani Yas of the UAE today in their first match of the ninth-to-12 classification phase in the 43rd Arab Men’s Volleyball Clubs Championship, currently taking place in Doha, Qatar.
After being booted out of further title contention with two losses in their three games in the preliminary stage, the reigning Isa bin Rashid Bahrain Volleyball League title holders will now be looking to secure their best possible classification in the tournament.
Dar Kulaib’s contest is scheduled for a 4.30pm start.
Others in their bracket are Kuwaiti clubs Burgan and Kuwait SC, who face off in the other game at 7pm. Both times are Bahrain.
The winners will face off for ninth place while the losers will battle for 11th.
Dar Kulaib’s squad in the Qatari capital is being guided by Argentinian head coach Alejandro Schneider. Their players included Hassan Nasser, Yousef Khaled, Mahmoud Abdulwahed, Amin Ebrahim, Ali Habib, Ali Hussain, Hussain Isa, Abbas Abdulla, Hassan Alaiwi, Hassan Warqaa, Hassan Abbas, Ayman Isa, Ali Khairalla, and Croatian opposite Tomislav Mitrasinovic.
