An enormous bluefin tuna was sold for a whopping $1.3 million in the first auction of the season at Tokyo's famed fish market, according to local media.
A renowned sushi restaurant paid 207 million yen (nearly half-a-million Bahraini dinars) for the 276kg fish.
This is the second-highest amount achieved at an auction following the 2019 sale of a bluefin tuna for $2.1 million.
