Han John won the National Day stableford competition held at Awali Golf Club.
Played under great conditions, the event was a nail-biter, with six players finishing within one shot.
John won with 37 points, beating five others who ended their rounds scoring 36 points. The key for John was his back nine, parring seven of the holes.
Meanwhile, winner of division one was Salim Khalifa Masood with 36 points. Badr Al Dosari took division two, beating Anurag Bajaj on countback. Winner of division three was Helen Woollacott.
Players were dressed up mostly in the national colours of Bahrain for the event, which was an early celebration at the club of Bahrain’s National Day.
Tournament director Nathan Sundaresan and Awali Golf Club captain Steve Newall handed out the prizes, made available by Bapco.
Today, a social two-ball scramble will be taking place at the club.
