CRICKET – MEHAR Beik Strikers pulled off a stunning 23-run victory over Ghani Cricket Club in a nail-biting semi-final encounter in the Bahrain Cricket Federation’s KHK League 2024-25 (C Division T20).
Batting first, the Strikers set a challenging target of 177 runs, thanks to a brilliant half-century from Habib U (50 off 27) and a quickfire knock from Sheikh M (30 off 22).
Ghani, known for their consistent performances, struggled to keep pace with the required run rate. Despite a valiant effort from Shazad R (29 off 20), they were eventually bowled out for 153.
The Strikers, a relatively new team, displayed immense talent and determination to overcome a strong Ghani side.
Key players for the victors were Habib U, Sheikh M, Uzair, Nawaz Bhai, Waleed, A Raziq, Asim Mustafa, and Habibullah. The Strikers will now face either ACL or Pak CC in the final, as they continue their impressive run in the tournament.
