Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro underscored the deep-rooted historical relationship between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, particularly in the realms of trade and investment.
Speaking at a luncheon hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce Bahrain, Mr Fakhro emphasised the two nations’ mutual commitment to bolstering economic co-operation. He highlighted Bahrain’s strategic position as a regional business hub and its ongoing efforts to foster a diversified and sustainable economy through innovation, investment, and international partnerships.
The minister noted that Bahrain’s Vision 2030 and Economic Vision 2050 provide a clear roadmap for achieving these goals, positioning the country as a leader in economic development and sustainability. Mr Fakhro also expressed interest in learning from the UK’s experience in digital transformation, as Bahrain seeks to invest in technology and become a pioneer in this field. He further highlighted the country’s initiatives to create a business-friendly environment and attract more foreign investment.
