KUWAIT CITY – A stateless person (Bedoun) has been arrested in Kuwait for selling unlicensed weapons and explicitly targeting school children by advertising on social media platforms.
Kuwaiti authorities seized melee weapons after a search was conducted upon legal authorisation from the Public Prosecution. During questioning, the suspect confessed to altering his voice using software when creating videos that he posted on social media promoting these weapons.
He has since been referred to relevant authorities for legal action.
The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry emphasised its commitment and dedication to monitoring social media activity and taking measures against any behaviour that could threaten public safety and the safety of school students. They stressed that action that threatens the community's safety will be met with a legal swift and stringent response.
