ATHLETICS – BAHRAIN will be sending a pair of athletes to participate in the 10th Arab Youth Athletics Championships in Taif, Saudi Arabia.
The meeting is scheduled to take place from today to Monday.
Salem Nasser and Ahmed Sabri will be competing in the event. Nasser will be running in the boys’ 110 metres hurdles while Sabri will be taking part in the boys’ high jump.
The kingdom’s delegation also includes coach Mohammed Hadoush and team administrator Hani Saad Al Naimi.
The competition is set to be held at Taif’s King Fahd Sports City Stadium with the participation of 18 countries. Nearly 250 aspiring young athletes will be competing in 20 events.
Along with Bahrain, the nations taking part are Jordan, the UAE, Egypt, Yemen, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Sudan, Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Libya, and hosts Saudi.
