An Indian truck driver, who used to spend countless sleepless nights in the cabin of his truck, now spends most of his time pursuing his passion of making cooking videos.
Rajesh Rawani from Jharkhand had spent over two decades being a truck driver before he transitioned to become a YouTuber. His YouTube channel 'R Rajesh Vlogs' has since garnered over 1.86 million subscribers and has helped him to buy a new house.
Rawani's videos of cooking inside the cab of his truck have consistently gone viral, with his most-watched video on YouTube getting 6 million views.
Rawani recently revealed his finances before and after starting his YouTube channel. Rawani revealed that he used to earn between ₹ 25,000 and ₹ 30,000 (BD112-134) as a truck driver. His earnings since transitioning to YouTube are largely based on performance, ranging from ₹ 4-5 lakh per month. But his best monthly performance netted him a whopping ₹ 10 lakh in just one month - that's about BD4,500.
"I posted a video with a voiceover, and people kept asking me to reveal my face. So, my son made a video showing my face, and it got 4.5 lakh views in just one day," Rawani said recalling his first viral video.
