Acting director general of Kuwait Environment Public Authority, Sameera Al-Kandari, stressed Tuesday the importance of shedding light on the efforts of the private sector in sustainability and projects of environment.
Al-Kandari, also commissioner general of the Kuwait Pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha for Horticulture, made the statement to KUNA after a conference made by Kuwait's pavilion at the expo titled "the role of the private sector towards sustainability".
She noted that Kuwait pays special attention to sustainability, adding that welfare and development can not be achieved without exerting efforts to maintain human and environment resources, and making them sustainable.
Kuwait's pavilion shows the role of the country and its government agencies in environment projects and modern technological sustainability, referring that Kuwait's private sector has a role in this matter.
"Through this conference, we review environment policies and different efforts of the private sector for partaking in sustainability and social responsibility," she elaborated.
Kuwait's pavilion held several effective activities and lectures relating to environment and sustainability with different bodies, she made clear.
