BAHRAIN’S harvest at the 15th Pan Arab Games, being held in Oran, Algeria until July 15, has increased to 16 medals, comprising of eight gold, three silver, and five bronze, until the second day of the competitions.
In athletics, Aminat Jamal won first place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.56 seconds, Adeyong Odyong won the gold medal in the women’s 100m in 11.27s, Saeed Al Khalidi raced to victory in the men’s 100m with a time of 10.22s, while Olkemy Adekoya won the first place in the women’s 400m with a time of 51.02s.
Meanwhile, Hajar Al Amiri, took second place in the women’s 100m with a time of 11.35s, while Zuhair Awad won the bronze medal in the men’s 1,500m with a time of 3:38.17 minutes, and Musa Issa also took the bronze for the men’s 400m in 45.85s.
In the athletics competition for people with determination, Elias Al Yassi claimed gold in the 100m race finishing in 11.87s (class 100 T47).
Swimmer Amani Al Obaidly came second place in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:05.06 mins, while Saud Ghaly won the bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:05.69 mins.
