TWO separate evacuation exercises were conducted by the Civil Defence to test its readiness response to emergency situations.
The drills, at Al Areen Palace Resort and Spa and the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, began with the safety and security teams triggering the alarm and the Civil Defence vehicles arriving at the scene in record time, said a statement yesterday.
“All 218 employees were directed to the assembly points by following the indicative signs of the emergency exits,” it added.
“The Civil Defence General Directorate seeks to ensure the readiness of facilities during emergencies and to train workers in various sectors on how to act correctly during accidents to preserve lives and protect public and private property.”
It said the procedures were in line with Civil Defence efforts to ensure the readiness of facilities in case of emergencies especially with the start of the summer season and the influx of visitors and tourists to key areas in Bahrain.
