Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial institution, has appointed Fernando Plaza Lopez as its new Chief Digital Officer. Lopez will be responsible for driving bank-wide digital strategy, including innovation, digital products, development, omnichannel and Agile initiatives.
With over two decades of experience in the digital and payment industry, Lopez is an accomplished industry expert with a proven track record of driving growth in high-growth, fast-paced businesses. Throughout his career, Lopez has navigated the digital and payment industry at all levels, from startups to large corporations. He has held senior leadership roles at reputable organisations such as Lloyds Banking Group, Vodafone Group, Emirates Group, Al Rajhi Bank, and Arab National Bank.
Digital transformation

In his previous role as Chief Digital Officer at Arab National Bank, Lopez established a new business unit to drive digital, fintech, payments, and remittances growth.
