THERE has been a 361 per cent increase in the number of passengers travelling between Bahrain and India last month compared to December 2021, it has emerged.
According to the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry’s monthly Civil Aviation Statistics for December 2022, the four destinations that recorded the most passenger growth compared to December 2021 were:
India (New Delhi and Mumbai) – 57,283 passengers (361pc growth);
Saudi Arabia (Jeddah) – 46,996 travellers (162pc increase);
The UAE (Abu Dhabi) – 41,273 passengers (147pc rise); and Kuwait – 37,679 (152pc growth) .
