Nine people were killed in a horrific head-on collision between two vehicles in Wadi Dawasir governorate in the Riyadh region.
Two others were injured in the accident on Friday.
Those who died included eight Saudis, seven of whom were members of a family, and a Filipino maid.
Seven family members and the housemaid were burned to death after their GMC vehicle caught fire following the collision with another vehicle on Al Rain - Wadi Al Dawasir Road.
The deceased family members included the father, mother, and five children, who were on their way to Riyadh from Abha to spend their weekend.
A 13-year-old girl, the lone survivor of the Saudi family in the GMC, had a miraculous escape from the accident.
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority stated that its command and control room in Riyadh had received information from a citizen about the accident and immediately after receiving the communication, six ambulance teams rushed to the scene.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
