Muscat: Oman's Health Ministry has announced that 1,717 people have received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccination over the past two days.
The vaccinated constitute 11 per cent of the target segment, Times of Oman reported.
The highest number of inoculations were registered in North Al Batinah Governorate (509 or 19.5 per cent of the target group there), followed by Muscat (302 or 5.2 per cent) and Al Buraimi (171 or 52 per cent).
In Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, 84 people took the vaccine (8.4 per cent), compared to 98 in Al Dhahirah Governorate and 81 in Musandam Governorate.
In North Al Sharqiyah Governorate (89 people), South Al Batinah (166), South Al Sharqiyah (131), Dhofar Governorate (66) and Al Wusta Governorate (20).
