Al Ahli Club beat Manama 82-80 in a nail-biting match to clinch the Zain Super Cup at the Zain Bahrain Arena in Um Al Hassam yesterday.
Al Ahli won the first quarter 24-17, lost the second 18-23, won the third and fourth 19-18 and 22-21 respectively.
It’s the third consecutive local trophy for Al Ahli Club after winning the Champions Cup and the Khalifa Bin Salman Cup before clinching the Super Cup.
The Super Cup is the second title for Al Ahli which won the title in 2010 for the first time.
Bahrain Basketball Association chairman Waleed Al Alawi presented Al Ahli with the trophy and gold medal and Manama players with silver medals and the runner-up trophy.
