The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) has honoured Bahrain with a major award in recognition of its success in hosting and holding the International Combat Brave Week 2019.
This came as the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF) won the “Host Federation of the Year” Award during IMMAF’s 2020 Amateur MMA Awards.
BMMAF president Mohammed Ali Qambar extended congratulations to Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for the exploit that adds to Bahrain’s rich record of achievement.
He asserted that the prestigious award is the fruitful outcome of Shaikh Khalid’s unwavering support for the mixed martial arts sport in the kingdom.
Qambar also congratulated Bahrain Combat Sports Council (BCSC) chairman Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, stressing that the BCSC’s support has contributed to attaining such an international award.
He affirmed that the International Combat Brave Week 2019 had succeeded due to the sound directives of Shaikh Khalid and the close follow-up of Shaikh Salman.
