Al Ahli won the fourth Khalifa bin Salman Basketball Cup after defeating Manama 99-91 in the final at Zain Arena in Um Al Hassam last night.
Brandon Brown powered the winners with 34 points as Ahli staged a remarkable comeback after trailing 46-47 at half-time.
Brown’ contribution included 14 rebounds and three assists. He was well-supported by Dominique Sutton who scored 26 points including five three-pointers, seven rebounds and two assists.
Hasan Nowrooz with 23 points and Jerai Grant with 20 were the leading scorers for Manama.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa deputised Cabinet Affairs Ministry Under-Secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee vice-president Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa to present the winners with the trophy.
Shaikh Isa presented Al Ahli with the cup and gold medals, and Manama players with silver medals.
