The champion is back. After signing an extension deal with BRAVE Combat Federation, reigning welterweight world champion Jarrah Al Selawe will feature in one of the three Kombat Kingdom events that the fastest-growing mixed martial arts organisation is holding in its home in Bahrain.
Jarrah’s return was confirmed by Mohammed Shahid, president of BRAVE CF, who has hailed Al Selawe’s accomplishments inside the arena and his role in the Arab MMA scene, as he has recently been recognised as the best ever Arab fighter.
‘’Jarrah is a symbol of the growth of mixed martial arts in the Middle East, and we couldn’t have a historic series of events such as Kombat Kingdom without having him in action. He’s the best fighter in the region and he has done an amazing job for the sport in the region, and beyond. We are proud to have him fighting in Bahrain again, and I can’t wait to see him back,’’ said Shahid.
In the coming days, further details of Jarrah’s return will be released as the region and the world wait for the comeback of one of the best fighters in the world to action inside the BRAVE CF Arena.
BRAVE CF will organise three shows between September and October, to mark a winning return to its home in Bahrain. BRAVE CF 41 takes place on September 17, and will be headlined by a middleweight title fight, as champion Daniel Gaucho defends his crown against Arab legend Mohammad Fakhreddine.
A week later, the flyweights take centre stage as the first round of the biggest tournament of 2020 will be held at BRAVE CF 42. On October 1, the organisation finishes the Kombat Kingdom series in style with BRAVE CF 43.
