Riyadh: A fire broke out in a house in the governorate of Rafha’a after a hoverboard exploded.
The hoverboard burst into flames in a room inside the house.
The Civil Defence Directorate announced the incident on its Twitter account and said that firefighters successfully doused the fire, reported local Arabic daily Al-Riyadh.
No human casualties were reported.
The incident has prompted authorities to warn people to stop using or charging their board unless they're sure it meets safety standards.
