The Ministry of Health of Kuwait announced that three patients infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) had passed away over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll up to 124.
The Health Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said said that 804 people had tested positive for the highly contagious virus, bringing the overall number of infections in the country to 17,568.
He pointed out that 167 patients were in intensive care units, while 847 others have completed their compulsory quarantine period over the past 24 hours.
Earlier in the day, the Kuwaiti Health Ministry confirmed the recovery of 204 additional novel coronavirus patients, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,885 so far.
