AN investigation has been launched into registered businesses being used as a cover for expatriates managing and running their own enterprises.
Shura Council first vice-chairman Jamal Fakhro told the chamber’s weekly session yesterday that 60 per cent of CRs issued to Bahrainis were being “leased” to expatriates, citing statistics provided by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) .
