LONDON: Iran’s exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has accused Iranian officials of being “liars, criminals and cowards”.
“They kill Iranian youth on land, sea and air, and congratulate their families by lying to them, using religious interpretations,” he said.
He was commenting on a video by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani who claimed that the soldiers who died in a “friendly fire” at sea will be rewarded 10 times more than other people in “their afterlife”.
Nineteen sailors died and 15 others were injured last Sunday when the frigate Jamaran opened fire at a training target released by a support ship, Konarak.
