Muscat: Eight flights will repatriate Indian citizens from Oman, as part of the second phase of the Vande Bharat operation starting May 16, an official from the Indian Embassy in Muscat has confirmed.
As part of the evacuation plan, four flights will operate to Kerala and one flight each to Bihar, Telangana, Delhi and Karnataka, Times of Oman reported.
According to the plans, seven flights will operate from Muscat and one from Salalah.
Meanwhile the second repatriation flight from Oman to India took off at 4:15pm on Tuesday with more than 180 passengers.
As many as 22 stranded Omani citizens returned to Muscat from Chennai on Tuesday, according to Oman Embassy in India.
“The embassy is working to complete the formalities to bring the rest of the citizens from Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai before the end of this month,” the embassy said.
