Abu Dhabi: Police in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi busted a fake currency note network and arrested five people, including a director of a medical clinic.
The Criminal Investigation officers foiled their attempt to sell counterfeit currency worth KD100,000 in exchange for AED1.2 million.
The five-member gang included a father-son duo, holders of British passports, who entered UAE using on visit visas, reported Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm.
Among the five arrested people were three Indians comprising a 36-year-old director-general of a medical clinic, a marketing director and an electrical appliance trader.
