Dubai: A landmark ceremony was held to install the last component of the Hope Probe – hailed as a testament to Emirati youngsters and a message of hope to youth in the Arab world.
UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, attended the ceremony during which he was handed the last component.
The last component carries the names and signatures of the UAE Supreme Federal Council members and rulers of the emirates and the crown princes.
Inscribed on it is a phrase that reads, "The power of hope shortens the distance between the earth and the sky."
"Reaching Mars is not impossible for us. The word ‘impossible’ has no place in our dictionary," Shaikh Hamdan added.
The Hope Probe mission, also called the Emirates Mars Mission, is the first mission by any Arab or Muslim-majority country to the red planet, according to WAM.
