Doha: A fire broke out at Caravan Resturant near Jabr bin Ahmed junction, previously known as Ramada junction.
Civil defence team evacuated customers from the restaurant and doused the fire before it could spread to neighbouring buildings.
The Ministry of Interior announced on its Twitter account that the firemen put out the blaze and started the cooling operation. No casualties were reported.
An inquiry was launched to ascertain the cause of fire, reported local Arabic daily Al-Sharq.
