ONE of Brazil’s best-known fighters will be back in action in his home country.
Leonardo “Macarrão” Mafra was yesterday added to the Brave CF 35 card. The show will take place at his hometown of Balneário Camboriú, Brazil, on March 28.
Mafra makes his return to the city after six years from his last bout at home. At Brave CF 35, he will welcome Englishman Carl Booth to super lightweight.
The event will mark the fifth time Bahrain’s premier sporting organisation will host a show in the South American country.
“Macarrão” is riding high at Brave Combat Federation after getting his first win for the fastest-growing MMA organisation in the world.
He beat Djamil Chan via unanimous decision back at Brave CF 25 and will look to follow it up with another victory in front of his home crowd.
Booth, on the other hand, will look to build on his two-fight win streak against Mafra in his super lightweight debut.
“The Bomber” is coming off victories over Dino Bagattin and Hayder Hassan, the last one in the main event of Brave CF 32 in Kyrgyzstan.
Reigning
Booth has been knocking at the door of a title shot at welterweight but hopes to become a double threat with a dominant performance against “Macarrão” at super lightweight.
Brave CF 35 will be headlined by Cleiton “Predator” Silva’s first title defence as the reigning lightweight world champion takes on top contender Guram Kutateladze from Sweden.
