Kuwait City: The General Directorate of Civil Aviation banned Chinese and Hong Kong nationals from entering Kuwaiti territories following instructions from the Health Ministry.
The civil aviation authorities sent a circular in this regard to all airline companies at Kuwait International Airport to comply with the instructions which are part of precautionary measures to prevent any outbreak of the new coronavirus and protect public health, according to Al Qabas.
The directorate said that the ban applies also to all those who had previous residence permits or entry visas from all nationalities, who were in China or Hong Kong over the past two weeks – until further notice.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health refuted reports circulated on social media such as Twitter regarding alleged detection of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in the country.
No cases with 2019-nCoV has been detected in the country so far, the ministry affirmed in a press release.
