Kuwait City: A Kuwaiti who spent 15 years in prison in the United States of America has returned home.
Yasser Al-Bahri was escorted by Kuwaiti Consul to New York Hamad Al-Hazeem and two US immigration officers.
Family members with a large crowd of supporters welcomed him at the airport.
Al-Bahri, a BA graduate in philosophy from the University of Kuwait, wrote twenty books in jail, including “Behind Barbed Wires” which recounts his prison ordeal and solitary confinement for 1000 days.
He was convicted of harassing an American woman who worked at an Arab-style coffee shop he had opened in Florida in 2004, according to Al-marsd.
