Manama: Bahrain has halved the amount of BD100,000 required for expatriates to invest in the country to be eligible to obtain self-sponsorship status.
Foreigners holding a minimum BD50,000 stake in any financial, trade, industrial, tourism projects or any other business or investment schemes can apply for self-sponsorship residence visas .
