Riyadh: Police raided a flat in Al-Quds district and rounded gay couples who participated in a mass gay marriage ceremony.
The incident took place in Riyadh.
Police arrested four newly-married gay men who were on their ‘honeymoon’.
According to a report, the police raided the venue after they saw a couple of participants act suspiciously as they headed to the ceremony.
During interrogation, two of them admitted that they got married two days ago, while others had done so last week.
The wedding was attended by other young gay men and even a 20-year-old married man.
Police searched the flat and seized 'illegal and indecent' items including four litres of alcohol, reported local Arabic daily Sabq.
Police also confiscated mobile phones which had video recordings of other mass gay marriages.
Investigation revealed that a similar mass gay marriage was held last week in another district, information about which was posted on social media websites including messaging application SnapChat.
