Dubai: On Tuesday Dubai Police announced that it will build six modern police stations in Dubai which would cost AED 291.5 million.
In a press conference, the Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina said that smart police centres would be equipped with the latest technology.
It would meet all the environmental and safety standards.
According to news agency WAM, the goal of building these centres is to help Dubai Police ensure security.
The technology would also help to provide timely and effective response to reach accident sites.
"Construction of these centres will commence early next year and will be completed within a period of nine months to two years, depending on the size and area of the centre and the population density of the district it will serve," Major-General Al Mazeina told the media.
All these centres would be designed to help employees and others with disabilities, he added.
