Kuwait City: Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has praised the cooperation agreement with the State Ministry for Youth Affairs in exploiting the energies of the youth for the service of civil society.
Director of youth and volunteers department in the KRCS Dr. Musaed Al-Anzi said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the agreement aims at finding ways of cooperation in the field of volunteering and its importance through the organization of training programs for the volunteers.
Al-Anzi said that the KRCS has prepared a rehabilitation program for participants from the Ministry that includes an introductory lecture on the KRCS' role and the definition of the rules of conduct for volunteers.
He said that 40 volunteers would take part in the course through which they would become acquainted with the role of the KRCS in the areas of humanitarian relief and international humanitarian law as well as a course on how to deal with people with special needs, needy families and patients.
He added that the training course would also include a workshop on medical examination and a seminar on the legal aspects of the duties of the volunteer, adding that participants would be awarded certificates of completion.
