Janaka excelled with bat and ball as Lanka Lions defeated Mishal Asian Lions by 15 runs in the HBL Premier League Trophy organised by Cricket Bahrain Association.
Janaka top scored with 61 runs and Shiara made 51 as Lanka Lions posted 156 runs. Mohammed Ayaz claimed two wickets for Lions. In reply Asian Lions could only manage 141 runs. Mohammed Rizwan top scored with 45 runs. for Lanka Lions, Janaka claimed five wickets.
BCC A edged Super Kings by three runs in another match. Batting first, BCC A posted 163 runs with Azeem ul Haq contributing 58. In reply, Super Kings managed 160 runs. Prashant top scored with 31 runs.
BCC outplayed Srilanka Club by 10 wickets in another fixture. Babar Ali claimed four wickets for BCC as Srilanka Club were all out for 81 runs after batting first. In reply, BCC reached the winning target in just 4.2 overs without losing any wicket. Anasim Khan made 44 runs.
Meanwhile, Indian Club defeated ABM Climax by six wickets. ABM Climax posted 119 runs with Waqas Khan making 36. Sachin claimed three wickets for Indian Club, who went on to chase down the winning target losing four wickets. Irfan Sheikh top scored with 49 runs.
Public Security Red defeated Titans by 22 runs. Aurangzeb top scored with 55 runs as Public Security Red posted 109 runs. Kashif Butt bagged three wickets for Titans. In reply Titans could only manage 87 runs. Aurangzeb claimed three wickets for Public Security Red.
Avis Young Challengers saw off Khan CC by two wickets in another fixture. Abdul Wahab top scored with 64 runs to help Khan CC post 133 runs. In reply Avis reached the winning target losing eight wickets. Yaqoob top scored with 30 runs.
